Continue using your Term Paper Template file, which you have renamed according to the following convention: LastnameFirstnameTermPaperOutline (eg., HandKarenTermPaperOutline). You will use this same file throughout the semester to complete each week’s assignment, and will turn in the completed file as your Term Paper at the end of Week 7.
This week you will write the Overview and Structure of the Business section of your term paper. What is the mission of your organization? How is your organization structured? What are the job roles and responsibilities of the different parts/units or your organization and the different employees of your organization? How do the roles and responsibilities of each unit and/or employee fit together into the mission of your organization? Are there different levels of employees, such as managers and lower level workers who will have different information technology needs? I am looking for a big picture view of your organization in this section. Later in your term paper, you will discuss the information technology of your proposed business in more detail. But here I am just trying to get a big picture of your organization itself and how everybody fits together to fulfill the mission of the organization. The organizational overview section should describe the structure of the business that you are proposing, focusing on the different levels of employees in the organization (upper management, middle management, operational management, and lower level employees, such as production and service workers, and data workers) and their IT needs (chapter 1). Other topics to cover in this section could include a descriiption of the main business processes in your business and the types of information systems and enterprise applications you will need to efficiently run the various business processes (chapter 2), and an analysis of your business against Porter’s competitive forces model, along with a recommendation for an appropriate strategy for your organization to gain a competitive advantage (chapter 3).
When you are finished, copy and paste the Overview and Structure of the Business section of your term paper into a post and post it to the discussion board.

Write a professional development briefing paper focused on how theories, principles, and evidence-based best practices related to problem-solving and creativity, decision-making and reasoning, and human and artificial intelligence can be applied in the context of the professional specialty you aspire to.
Introduction
As a professional psychologist, you will need to review theory and research and use it as the basis to develop best practices. For this assessment, you will focus on the following topics:
Problem-solving and creativity.
Decision-making and reasoning.
Human and artificial intelligence.
Note: This assessment will be a briefing paper, not a presentation.
Scenario
Imagine you are now a professional psychologist working in the specialization that you aspire to. You are charged with creating professional development for an interdisciplinary team of professionals in your workplace on how theories, principles, and evidence-based best practices of cognitive and affective psychology can be used to help people in your work context.
Preparation
The third assessment focuses on problem-solving and creativity; decision-making and reasoning; and human and artificial intelligence.
As you prepare to complete this assessment, you may want to think about other related issues to deepen your understanding or broaden your viewpoint. You are encouraged to consider the questions below and discuss them with a fellow learner, a work associate, an interested friend, or a member of your professional community. Note that these questions are for your own development and exploration and do not need to be completed or submitted as part of your assessment.
What are obstacles and aids to problem-solving?
What strategies guide human decision-making and reasoning?
What is deductive reasoning? What facilitates and impedes its use?
What is inductive reasoning? What facilitates and impedes its use?
What other forms of reasoning are there?
How does expertise develop?
To what degree is human intelligence influenced by inherited or environmental factors?
What is groupthink? How does it affect decision-making, reasoning, and creativity?
How and to what extent does brain physiology and neuroscience help explain normality and abnormality in relation to decision-making and reasoning? Does this science point toward interventions that improve performance in decision-making and reasoning? What is creativity and how can it be enhanced?
How do emotions impact with problem-solving, creativity, or intelligence?
What ethical issues might arise for a psychologist in connection with problem-solving, creativity, or intelligence?
your briefing paper is for an interdisciplinary team, so it will be important to communicate in a manner that can be understood by a those not trained in psychology. Be sure to include plain language definitions of psychological terms used in the paper.
The briefing paper will have three sections, each dedicated to one of the three topics. Within each section:
Analyze briefly the origins and evolution of each theory that you will reference in relation to the topic.
Explain how theories, principles, and evidence-based best practices related to the topic can be used to explain behavior and help people. Remember, these factors should be relevant to the context. For each of these:
Analyze how and to what extent brain physiology or neuroscience can provide an explanation of relevant phenomena.
Analyze how affective manifestations may impact cognitive performance.
Explain how theories and principles related to at least one of the topics in your paper apply to culturally diverse populations.
Explain one or more ethical issues that might arise in the application of theories and principles related to problem-solving, creativity, reasoning, or intelligence.
Cite the APA Code of Ethics or another code of ethics if it is more relevant to your area.

Instructions
It is necessary to complete a literature review to find and provide information from sound sources for your proposal.
Plan a search strategy for CINAHL, MEDLINE, etc. to identify relevant translation literature, evidence summaries, and original research. Search at least three databases to find 3–5 articles related to the issue you have identified.
Execute these searches and evaluate the results. Discuss how the cited publications might help you prepare a clinical guideline to facilitate needed changes in practices using the rubric as your guide.
In order to complete the literature review, for each resource/articles you select, include the following:
Introduction:
A concise definition of the topic under consideration. State the general findings of the review (what do most of the sources conclude?), and comment on the availability of sources in the subject area.
Main body:
There are many ways to organize the evaluation of the sources. Chronological and thematic approaches are both useful strategies.
Each work should be critically summarized and evaluated for its premise, methodology, and conclusion.
It is as important to address inconsistencies, omissions, and errors as it is to identify accuracy, depth, and relevance.
Use logical connections and transitions to connect sources.
Conclusion
The conclusion summarizes the key findings of the review in general terms. Notable commonalities between works, whether favorable or not, may be included here.
References
As well as accurate in-text citations, a literature review must contain complete and correct citations for every source.
Make sure the review of each source is succinct and focuses on facts and information rather than opinions and inferences.

For this assignment, you will write a 7-8 page research paper that centers on an argument. To make that argument you will analyze a cultural image or set of images. Unlike a report, you will be expected to produce an original, nuanced, and thesis-driven argument. In service of this argument, you will be required to incorporate at least six sources, four of which must be academic. The purpose of this paper is to enter into a scholarly conversation on your topic of choice. The range of possible topics for this paper is wide; this is an opportunity to explore a topic that is related to the field of study that you plan to enter at UD or simply something that interests you. You should carefully consider your topic for this project as you will explore this topic through multiple publishs. You will spend a lot of time with this topic, this assignment cannot be completed the night before. The best topics are ones that excite and interest you.
Your paper must include at least 6 sources, four of which must be scholarly (books or scholarly journal articles, if you have a question about whether or not a source is scholarly, feel free to ask me about it) and two can be popular or primary sources. Note that this is the minimum number of sources that must be included, feel free to include more, as long as you engage with them usefully and honestly.
Your thesis for this project should be an arguable claim on which you can take a stand supported by a thesis statement. If you are answering a question with a simple yes or no, then you are not writing an argumentative essay. “Guns should be banned,” would be a bad thesis statement, while “Contemporary Superhero films promote a militaristic worldview” is a much better thesis statement. Note how the first statement could be answered with a simple yes or no and has no specific image or images to analyze, while the second is more gray and focuses on a specific set of images (superhero films).
Off-Limit Topics:
Gun Control
Abortion Laws
Weed Legalization
What Types of Images Can I Use?
For this paper, I’m thinking of the term “image” broadly. That means it can be things that are obviously images, like art pieces, films, social media posts etc. But, it can also be less obvious. You could look at advertising, fashion, architecture, picture books, book covers, and much more. As long as your topic has some visual component it will probably work.

Please describe your plan for retirement. Discuss how the investment strategies you researched are included or excluded from the plan and why. How has or will your planning been affected by your age when you start the plan, your personality style, etc. (are you more conservative or are you more aggressive)? How are your plans diversified to protect yourself against market or industry downturns? (I’m 23 years old) I would also say I’m a little more conservative.
